December 2017 Club Scrap Guest Designer

Hello all,

I am so excited to announce that I am the December Guest Designer for Club Scrap.

I love Club Scrap’s products and am always excited to received my “Club Stamp” kit each month.  Their stamps are high quality and their monthly kits are so interesting and unique.   It was truly a pleasure to design 12 cards with the December 2017 “A Night at the Met” Collection.

Card 2: Feelings

Key Techniques/Elements:

  • Randomly stamped background with two different colors of dye ink.
  • Vintage music sheet, dye inked to coordinate with color scheme.
  • Sentiment used as Focal Point.
  • Edged with Glitter, cardstock strip, and CS trinket.

  • Wet application of Distress Oxide ink to background panel and focal piece.
  • Short cut of card top panel (at opening) to reveal CS border underneath.
  • CS Ribbon and Ribbon tie

  • Dry embossed background using embossing folder.
  • Circle Die cut focal Point.
  • Metallic Paint Splatters in background.
  • CS Ribbon and Pre-printed sentiment.

Key Techniques/Elements:

  • Ballerina stamp Embossed with Pearl Silver embossing powder and fussy cut.
  • CS pre-printed panel trimmed and mounted on silver cardstock.
  • CS ribbon and trinket used to highlight top of card.
  • Metal self adhesive pebble used as embellishment at the bottom

Card 6: Trebles

Key Techniques/Elements:

  • Treble Clef stamped with Metallic Paint (brayer was used to ink stamp).
  • Metallic paint splatters in background.
  • Metallic paint used to cover metal drawer label to match color scheme.
  • Mutli-layer background includes lavender cardstock dry embossed with embossing folder.

  • Randomly stamped focal panel with three colors of dye ink.
  • Ink Splatters on card base
  • Sheer Ribbon, Flowers and Metal pebble to embellish.

  • Ink splatters.
  • CS papers, ribbon and embellishment used across center of card to create focal point.

Key Techniques/Elements:

  • Dry embossed focal panel using embossing folder.
  • VersaMark ink applied directly to embossed paper; Pearl-x Powders were then rubbed over ink with round brush to create shimmery background panel.
  • Ink splatters & Layered stamping
  • Circle die cuts used to enhance the circular patterns from the background

  • Simple layered card panels
  • Layered Stamping  Ink Splatters.
  • Embellished with gems and heart sticker (colored black to match color scheme).
  • CS Ribbon at top of card

Key Techniques/Elements:

  • Rectangle border stamped across background with VersaMark ink. Pearl-x Powders applied directly over inked images with round brush. (same method used for music note on focal panel).

Hope you all are having a wonderful Holiday Season; only a few more days until Santa arrives!  I am still working a few last minute projects but am expecting to be done on time.  Thank goodness!
