I am very pleased to announce that I am working with Emerald Creek to bring you an original Mixed Media art piece that will be auctioned off, on April 24th and 25th, as part of their program to help artist while also giving to charity. It is really a wonderful initiative from a great company.

Emerald Creek sells a variety of embossing powders, stamps and other craft supplies at their website.

The charity I chose to support is the Clever Octopus.

Hello all,

I love finding new ways to Art Journal and I have a great new suggestion for you to play with today. How about an Art Journal Card deck? 26 cards full of your art and inspiration. For my deck, I chose a swirl pattern for the backs of the card (that I painted with chalk paint over a stencil). Each front will be a unique design and will include an inspirational saying.

Thinking about doing a video series that will focus on my progression through this deck. What do you think?
