Today, I tested out the SCORCH marker. This pen allows you to “scorch” wood with your heat tool (see bottom of this blog for link to the official SCORCH video). I first tried the SCORCH marker with an adhesive screen stencil and didn’t have much luck with this method. I kept getting more bleed through that I preferred however, with each try it was getting better.
Next, I used it free form to accent a wood plaque that I had stenciled with modeling paste. This method allowed me to mark sections of the plaque (free hand) to scorch with the heat tool. So cool, I loved using the marker in this manner! Be sure to check out the Quick Tips Mixed Media Video below for the step by steps!
