TCW Mixed Media on Wood Panel

Hello all,

Back again with a project featuring TCW stencils.  I love creating Mixed Media pieces on wood panels (the hard flat surface is perfect for stencils).  This panel was made from Birch wood and is so pretty that I left some of the wood unpainted and exposed rather the covering it all up.   Check out the  video below for the step by steps.

TCW- My One and Only

Hello all,

With Valentines Day coming up, I pulled out a wooden heart plaque that I have had for awhile and decided to create a mixed media piece with this as the base.  The finished project features a background made with the TCW  Floral Statement stencil, modeling paste and Shimmery Goodness.   This  soft and shimmery background really made the focal point of red hearts really pop!

“My Grungy Heart” project features Imagine Fireworks sprays and a great technique for  use with mixed media projects.  Not to mention, how to create a fun gift out of reuse and recycled materials.  How fun is that?!?

“Who ties her shoes” – LCD

Hello all,

Over on the Lost Coast Design’s Portal to Creativity Blog, we are kicking off an “Anything goes” Challenge.   My inspiration project is all about poking a little humor at oneself; over that last several weeks I have been a complete clutz!  Tripping, falling, and dropping things, good grief!  While I am rushing around trying to get everything done for the holiday I forget the little things.  Like the coffee table in the middle of the room, lol!

Anyhow, Lost Coast Designs has a really great selection of stamps that fit about every scenario (even ones that help bring humor to clumsiness).
