Autumn Glory – Allsorts

Hello all,

As part of the Lost Coast Design team, I was given the opportunity to create a project to be featured in the kick off of the “Autumn Splendor” challenge over on the Allsorts Challenge Blog.

Isn’t Autumn Splendor such a great theme!?!  An Autumn Home Decor piece with a paper mache’ pumpkin and the “Dancing Skeleton” images from Lost Coast Designs seemed like a perfect fit for this challenge.

Be sure to check out the Step by Step quick video below to see how I created this fun Mixed Media Home Decor project.

Be sure to check out the video below for the step by steps.

A Pumpkin of a Different Color

Hello all,

I am starting to come around to the fact that summer is fading and I must face the coming of fall and soon to be winter.  I always mourn the loss of our sunshine filled days and pleasant summer heat each year.   So, time to pull out the warm sweaters and sweat shirts, long pants and warm socks…’tis the season.

The one thing that I do appreciate about the fall  is the color; the many shades of yellow and orange that splash across the trees are just lovely to see.  The fall project below however,  was made using a non-traditional color scheme.  While browsing the craft store this morning I found fall florals in these beautiful shades of blue and green.  These colors, paired with a white pumpkin, made for an interesting take on a fall project.

Check out the video below for how to you can use your stencils on really bumpy substrates like this pumpkin.

I hope that you have enjoyed this project and will try this “stencil on tissue” method that will stretch the use of your favorite stencils.

Bring on the fall…

Happy day!

My Monthly Hero Kit – August 2018

Hello all,

Coffee is one of my favorite things; I truly enjoy my morning latte!  So, the August “My Monthly Hero” kit was a great fit for me.  These Coffee related images were really fun to stamp with and the accessories included in the kit were very well matched with the stamps.

► – 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set

► – 1 3.5″ x 4.5″ Window Fancy Die

► – 11 Coordinating Frame Cuts

► – Crystal Clear Lacquer Pen 0.5 fl. oz.

► – White Puff Embossing Powder 0.5 oz.

► – 2 5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets of Coffee & Tea Hand Dyed Decorative Paper

I made four cards using similar techniques with the different stamped images.  Each card has a different layout and a unique card design.  Watch the video below for the “Steps by Steps” using the kit contents as well as a bonus technique using a Hero Arts Background stamp.

Now, per the Hero Arts website, the August “My Monthly Hero” kit has already sold out. However, I have included other coffee related stamps available from Hero Arts for you to consider.   Just check out the links provided below.
