ATC Coins w/ recycled backgrounds

Hello all,

Do you keep your extra background papers and projects gone bad?  I do!  I throw them into a box just in case I can dream up another use for them later.  So today, when I wanted to give ATC coins a try, I pulled out a selection of these unused/rejected papers to see if they would work.

background for reuse

In the end, I picked out a background that I had previously made for an Art Journal page (that ended up not working out that day).  It was made using acrylic paint, a TCW Stencil with texture paste as well as some Glass Bead Texture gel.  The great thing is…this rejected Art Journal background worked out great for these ATC coins!

I simply added a few stamped images over the top (stamped on tissue paper and then adhered with matte medium) and then added some shading with Pitt pens.   Tada! Instant ATC coins.

So, keep your rejected stuff!  You never know when it will work out for a future project.  It’s a great way to reuse, recyle and reward your pocket book.

Happy day!
